Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Pixel Drift Studios (“we,” “us”) handles information in the Elf Link app. Elf Link is a family wishlist app: a parent sets up the household and creates a profile for each child, and the family builds and shares gift lists for Christmas, birthdays, and other occasions.

A note for families

Elf Link is designed to be used by a parent or guardian, and by children under a parent’s direction. A grown-up creates the household account and each child’s profile. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children beyond what a family adds to run their own wishlist, and we do not show behavioral advertising to children or sell children’s information.

Information we collect

Account information

• When a parent signs up (including with Sign in with Apple), we receive an account identifier and, if you choose to share it, an email address for account recovery and support.
• Display names you enter for the parent, co-parents, and family viewers.

Child profiles

• Information a parent adds for each child, such as a first name or nickname, an optional age or birthday, and a chosen avatar. Only what you enter is stored.

Wishlist content

• The items you and your children add — titles, store links, photos you upload or snap, notes, quantities, colors/sizes, and prices.
• Which items a parent has marked as bought, and gift budgets you set.

Subscriptions

• If you buy a subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status — we never see your full card number or payment details.

Technical information

• Basic device and app information and error/diagnostic logs, used to keep the app running reliably. We do not collect precise location, your contacts, or advertising identifiers for ad targeting.

How we use information

• To provide the app: store and sync your lists across your family’s devices.
• To power family sharing — showing a read-only list to viewers you invite with a code.
• To manage subscriptions and unlock premium features.
• To respond to support requests and fix problems.
• To keep Elf Link secure and reliable, and to comply with legal obligations.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information or your children’s information. We share it only in these limited ways:

• Within your family: people you invite — a co-parent, or a family viewer holding your code — can see the lists you share with them.
• Service providers who run the app on our behalf: Apple (Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases), Supabase (secure database and backend hosting), and RevenueCat (subscription management). They may only use the information to provide services to us.
• Affiliate networks: when a grown-up taps a “Buy” link, the outbound link may carry a standard referral tag so we can earn a commission (see below). No child’s information is shared in this process.
• Legal & safety: if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

Affiliate links

Some “Buy” or “Shop” links shown to parents are affiliate links. If you make a purchase through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. These links are shown only in the grown-up parts of the app and never to children.

Keeping & deleting data

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and its data at any time inside the app — a sole parent’s deletion removes the whole household’s data; a co-parent, child, or viewer deletion removes just that person. You can also email us to request deletion. Some records may be retained briefly where required for legal, security, or accounting reasons.

Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit and access controls on our backend. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your family’s data and to promptly address any issues.

Your choices & rights

• View and edit most information directly in the app.
• Delete your account and data from the app’s settings.
• Manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple ID settings.

Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at support@pixeldriftstudios.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a notice in the app.
